Welcome to Kadima.
The people who can describe Kadima best? Our residents.
So meet Michael.
“I was a patient of Kadima at Lakeside for a little over a month. When I first came from the hospital, I was scared because I felt like I was dying. I thought, This is the end of the road. Being 43 years old and told that you have a few weeks to live because of your self-induced condition is hard news to swallow.
I didn’t want to leave the hospital because I wanted help. I fought with the nurses when I got to Kadima at Lakeside. I was being stubborn and didn’t want to listen to anyone, but they approached me with the same kindness and compassion as any other patient there.
They even had a lady from the upstairs come and sit with me until I was calm. She talked to me like I was a human being and listened patiently even though I had trouble speaking.
They were able to get my meds adjusted so I was comfortable and started to feel better. I was able to do therapy and begin taking care of myself again. Kadima helped me recover and get into an alcohol rehab center.
Today, I’m proud to say that I’m at one year clean and sober. If it wasn’t for the staff at Kadima, I wouldn’t be alive today.

Kadima's Story
One of the hardest decisions any of us will ever make is to move a loved one into a nursing home. Our goal is to make this decision much easier by creating residences that truly feel like an extension of a loved one’s home — where residents are respected as individuals and treated like family.
We feel honored to care for others and a deep responsibility to provide the best care. We do whatever it takes to help our residents feel good and live life on their terms, whether that means getting back on their feet so they can return home or making a home with us.
Kadima means “forward.” We chose this name because we believe that when we help residents move toward happier, healthier lives, we’re helping them “live forward.” The orange bird in our logo illustrates this forward movement, as well as the independence and hope we aim to inspire for everyone who lives and works at Kadima.
